Summary:

3.6 Million Americans turn 65 each year and become eligible for Medicare. Unfortunately, for most of these people, Medicare remains a mystery. According to a recent study, 93% of people aged 55-64 admitted that they don’t understand Medicare at all. 81% people already on Medicare said they don’t have ample knowledge about the program.

This lack of understanding translates into costly and permanent Medicare mistakes. Just one mistake could LITERALLY cost you thousands of dollars a year for the rest of your life and even keep you from getting needed healthcare services. Put a stop to Medicare mistakes by attending this nationally praised presentation. After viewing this presentation, audience members consistently rave “This is the first time Medicare has made sense for me.”

Through this session, you’ll gain a solid understand how Medicare is structured and the choices that you must make. You’ll dispel the all-too-common myths about Medicare. And, you’ll be able to steer clear of costly mistakes. For example, you will be able to:

·        Name three myths about Medicare or healthcare in retirement

·        Explain why Medicare does not actually have four parts

·        Name the six steps of Medicare enrollment

·        Describe one or more of the consequences of mistiming Medicare enrollment

·        Explain why the type of Medicare coverage that a person initially chooses can become permanent later in life

Note:  Attending this presentation qualifies for CFP CE credits. More info can be found at CFP Program ID
