"Collaborative Practice, A New Beginning" is presented by Garrick Zielinski, CFP(R), CDFA, CDS. Participants will learn about current and emerging techniques employed by family law experts and financial experts to deal with family financial issues ranging from divorce, business relationships and military service and family separation in a collaborative setting.
This presentation will include an Introduction to Collaborative Practice, and will include a historical perspective; an overview of the process; the advantages and disadvantages of collaborative divorce; the role of the financial professional; future issues and emerging trends; and, the role of the financial expert.
In "Bridging the Gap: Creating an Intergenerational Plan for Your Clients" Bob Mauterstock, CFP(R), ChFC, CLTC will help you create a plan for your clients that extends through the generations. Learn the skills to build communication between elderly parents , their boomer children and their adult grandchildren. Discover the five steps to engage the entire family in creating a lasting, intergenerational plan that incorporates asset protection, long term care planning and end of life planning. Become an effective facilitator to run productive family meetings, and secure your position as the trusted advisor for your clients, their children and grandchildren.
For 33 years, Bob Mauterstock was a financial advisor to hundreds of families. Over and over he saw families devastated by an unexpected financial or health-related crisis that elderly parents faced. Most families found it almost impossible to bridge the gap between generations to deal with these issues. After many years, he developed a proven method of communication to solve this problem. He discovered that as the family financial advisor he could bring the family together and create a lasting intergenerational plan. He learned how to give families the gift of communication.
As more and more families are faced with the issues of aging, financial advisors are in a unique position to help clients deal with this crisis. You can lock in your position as the family’s trusted advisor for generations to come. Don’t miss this important discussion.
4 CFP CE have been approved, Wisconsin Insurance CE are pending, and we will submit CLE as well.
This is our last regular CE meeting of 2014.
